He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Carpenter and Elaine Carpenter (Hauser). He is survived by: his wife Colleen Vande Zande; his children, Sarah Sell (Joe) of Randolph and Scott Carpenter (Mandy) of Juneau; his grandchildren, Zach, Ryan Sell, Emma and Brentyn Carpenter; and his siblings, Debra Benzine (Stanley) of Otsego and Dwight Carpenter (Linda). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
