It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn J. Vertz (Columbus, Wisconsin), born in Jackson, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Tews and Selma Tews (Gierach); her husband Rev. Karl Vertz of David's Star Lutheran Church; and her son Jon. She is survived by: her children, Tod Vertz (Beth) of Sturgeon Bay, Tricia Affholter (Matthew) of Canton, MI and Joy Huber (Matthew) of Columbus; her daughter-in-law Peg Vertz of Lemoyne, OH; her grandchildren, Laura Christianson (Shane), Michael Vertz (Megan), Sara Jamieson (James), Logan Affholter, Derek Affholter, Carter Huber and Megan Huber; and her siblings, Roger Tews (Lynne) and Judy Diener. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
