She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Butzin and Theresa Butzin (Jacobson); her husband Jay Peterson; and her son Steven Peterson. She is survived by: her children, Erick Peterson (Michelle), Jason Peterson, Daniel Peterson, Emmy Peterson, Susanne Peterson, Marsy Peterson and Ashley Grimmenga (Jeremy). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
