He was predeceased by: his parents, Captain Oliver Herbert and Leota Cooley Smith; his former wife Maxine "Max" Louise Keller of Manitowoc, WI.; his siblings, Virginia Haack and Herbert "Bert"; his granddaughter-in-law Catherine; and his granddaughter Ciara Madeline.
He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Dana Smith (Carol) of Belgium, WI, Kirby Smith (Sherri) of Las Vegas and Brian Smith (Konnie) of Rochester, MN; his stepsons, Blaine Szudajski of Milwaukee, WI and Lowell Szudajski (Ellen) of Branson, MO.; his grandchildren, Richard, Bethany, Eric, Mallory, Alexandra and Lauren; his great grandchildren, Ian, Evelyn, Cordelia, Collin, Jaden, Trent, Dominic and Malcom; and his brother Daniel Smith of Punta Gorda, FL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and good friends.
Due to Covid-19, Poole Funeral Home shall provide a recorded record of the service and interment to view online after they have been held.
