Jean Irene Wegener Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jean Irene Wegener of Colgate, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 28, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Schmit and Catherine Schmit; her husband Thomas Wegener of Mary's Church; her daughter Jennifer; her brother Donald Schmit; and her siblings-in-law, Lee Doll, Mike Osier, David Wegener, Carolyn Wegener and Jeanette Adamzak.
She is survived by: her children, Kyle (Melissa "Missy"), Connie, Bonnie and Mary Beth (Jason); her sisters, Carol Doll and Ruth Osier; her siblings-in-law, Leroy Wegener and Pat Schmit; and her nieces and nephews, Kim, Tim (Lorena), Pam (Frank), Jackie, Sandy (Jim) and Scott. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:15 PM at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St, Hartford, WI 53027). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
