She was predeceased by: her husband Richard A. "Dick"; her parents, John Mengel and Ella Theilig Mengel; her son James Allen; and her siblings, Jeanette Schroeder and Arnold Mengel.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Wienkers (Kevin), Catherine Schaefer (Patrick), Kay Copsey (Patrick) and Dan Jorgensen (Dawn); her grandchildren, Jacob Schaefer (Jennifer), Brianne Schimenz (David), Aaron (Manuela Zimmermann), Brittany Wienkers (Ryan Harris), Madeline Mckennell (Alex), Ella, Beatrice, Hazel Jorgensen and Fred Copsey; and her pet Skitters. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dorothy's name to the Owen-Whithee Historical Society or the Richfield Historical Society would be appreciated.
