Beulah M. Timm Obituary
Of Colgate, passed away on Monday, October 2nd, 2023, at the Congregational Home in Brookfield at the age of 101. She was born July 21st, 1922, in Colgate to the late Edwin and Ruth (nee Ebling) Mayer. She graduated from Dodge County Normal School and later from UW-Oshkosh. She was an elementary school teacher for 28 years. She began her career teaching all eight grades at Friess Lake School, a one-room school house. She finished her career teaching 3rd and 4th grades at Amy Belle School. She was a 4-H leader for 29 years. She was very active in church activities. She was a church organist for 50 years, directed two choirs, held church council offices and led vacation Bible School for 39 years.
She married Marvin Timm on August 10, 1946. They had a dairy farm in Colgate. She is predeceased by her husband, Marvin, and two sisters, Doris Loew and Ruthmary Parmeter. She is survived by: three children, Alan (Virginia) Timm of Jefferson, Sandra (Donald) Striegel of Maple Grove, MN, and Daniel (Xue Mei) Timm of Madison; six grandchildren, Stacy Striegel of Maple Grove, MN, Karen (John) Hickland of Salem, NY, Jennifer Striegel of Colgate, Andrew (Alison) Timm of Jefferson, Jonathan (Katherine Striegel of West Allis, and Tian Liu of Madison; 5 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Oliver, Simon, Alan, and Archer; and one brother, Ralph (Susan) Mayer of Knoxville, IA.
Visitation for Beulah will be held Saturday October 7, 2023 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 495 St. Augustine Rd., Colgate, WI from 10 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12 Noon. Burial will follow the service at the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church would be appreciated.
