He was predeceased by: his parents, George Paffel and Lena Paffel (Lewis); his stepmother Opal Paffel (Sanders); his brother Ronnie Paffel; and his brother-in-law Tim Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki; his children, Louis, Jr. (Candy Paffel), Greg Orheim of Ladysmith, Pamela (Dominic Rutledge), Shaumarie (Raymond Miller) and Katheryn (Paul Fiebig); and his sisters, Phyliss (Chuck Sanders), Diana (Larry Melton) and Ilene Thompson of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
