She was predeceased by: her father Howard West; her sister Sandy Bischel; and her father-in-law Jerry Schwegman. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Schwegman; her daughters, Gail Frogner (Aaron) and Robyn Whitwam; her grandchildren, Julia and Jack Whitwam; her mother Marie West; her brothers, Gary West (Debbie) and Bruce West (Deb); her brother-in-law Fred Bischel; her mother-in-law Colleen Schwegman; her sisters-in-law, Mary Schwegman, Sue Friberg (Manny) and Paula Moen (Terry); and her close friend Liz Topper (Wally).
