He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Schwegman and Mildred Schwegman (Pritchard); his brother Jim; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Gessner and Bruce Knowlton.
He is survived by: his wife Colleen Gessner; his children, Mary Schwegman (Dan Davis) of Dallas, Tom Schwegman (Julie) of Colfax, Sue Friberg (Manny) of Eau Claire and Paula Moen (Terry) of Colfax; his grandchildren, Amy, Peter, Gail, Robyn, Melissa, Bridgette, Heather, Nick and Chelsea; his sister Jean Knowlton of Eau Claire; and his sisters-in-law, Fern Brunstad (Lloyd) of Chippewa Falls and Amelia Jaent of Chicago. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Due to COVID-19, no services will be held at this time.
Memorials may be given to Colfax Lutheran Church or a charity of choice.
