He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Mongin and Leone Mongin (Kerscher); his parents-in-law, Leo and Olga Meyer; his son Dean Mongin; his brother Bob Mongin; his niece Cheryl Novak; and his nephew Scott Meyer.
He is survived by: his wife Ellie Mongin (Meyer); his children, Doug Mongin (Tammy) and Gina Baierl (Kevin); his grandsons, Mason and Brayden; his siblings, Edward Mongin (Teresa), Elaine Novak (Jim) and Leanne Meyer; and his close friends, Dan Rhodes, John Pacourek, Larry Smith and Tom Rhode. He is also survived by sisters and brothers in law, many nieces, nephews.
