She was predeceased by: her parents, William Zarnke and Esther Zarnke (Schnabel); her husband Edward "Butch" Strathmann; her daughter Lisa Jochimsen; her brothers, Clarence (Evelyn) and Dennis Zarnke; and her siblings-in-law, Arnold, Harold Strathmann (Irene), Wayne Birkett and Margaret "Peggy" Zellmer (Frederick).
She is survived by: her children, Richard Strathmann (Charlotte) of Colby, Daniel Strathmann of Colby, Beverly Schilling of Colby, Sandra Lukas (Gary) of Abbotsford, Linda Martin (James) of Mukwonago, Judy Heil (Anthony) of Wausau and Sara Hyslop (Harvey) of Eagle River; her grandchildren, Troy Strathmann (Judy), Leanne Meyer (Jeff), Jennifer Hadfield (Stephen), Kyle Schilling (Becca), Michael Martin (Meaghan), Matthew Martin (Jacque), Megan Martin, Heidi Freisinger (Jason), Katrina Booth (Nate), Tyler Heil (Kim), Amanda Jo Lange (John) and Brianna Hyslop; and her siblings, Verna Birkett of Greenwood and William "Billy" Zarnke (Peggy) of Montevideo, MN. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ila Mae's name can be directed to Zion Lutheran Church.
