She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph DeMelle and Margaret DeMelle (Nebel); her former husband James Schroepfer; and her grandchildren, Katie and Michael.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Grassel; her children, Jean Nichols (Terry), Thomas Schroepfer (Shelly), Beth Ziereis (John), Ellen Doberstein, John Schroepfer (Dawn), Paul Schroepfer (Jennifer) and Amy Goerlinger (Mark); and her brother David DeMelle (Mary).
In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated for the St. Rose Catholic Church.
