He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Nielson and Erna Nielson (Schindle); his wife Elaine Rohrer; his sons, Keith and Gary; and his brother Wayne "Ted" Nielson.
He is survived by: his children, Judith Huntley, Carole Ebert (Ken) and Tim Nielson (Jackie); his grandchildren, Eric Ebert (Candace), Craig Ebert (Addie), Luke Ebert (Ashley), Katie Nielson, Nikki Ernst (Eric), Kevin Nielson (Staci), Scott Nielson (Kim), Mike Nielson (Stacey), Brian Nielson (Megan) and Adam Nielson (Stephanie); his stepgrandchildren, Jessica Suprise, Jill Zilk (Joe) and Jenelle Suprise; his great grandchildren, Eli, Miles, Owen, Ellawyn, Jericho, Jaelynn, Ella, Amanda, Matthew, Nate, Aiden, Morgan, Emma, Bella, Kip, Mia, Braden and Brenna; and his daughter-in-law Nancy Nielson.
