He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustave R. Grunewald and Virginia A. Grunewald (Pevonka); his son Nicholas; and his brother-in-law Dale Zahn. He is survived by: his wife Carol J. Pluger; his daughter Katie Ann N. Grunewald; and his siblings, William Grunewald (Iris), Mary Zahn, Margaret Gott (Terry), Julie Grunewald, Caroline and Edward Grunewald.
