He was predeceased by: his sister Gail Sunita; and his sister-in-law Cheryl Ambrosius. He is survived by: his wife Tammy; his stepson Lee Nelson; his brothers, Greg Sunita (Tasha) and Gary Sunita (Dana Gunderson); his nieces, Natalie Sunita, Ele Sunita and Kennedy Sunita; and his sisters-in-law, Cindy Schwartz (Dan), Rick Nelson (Debbie) and Mike Nelson (Stacey).
