He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Higgins and Esther Higgins (Schmidt); his siblings, Charles Higgins (Anita) and Bonnie Hagen; and his siblings-in-law, Eunice Higgins and Terry Hagen.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Knapp; his children, Sandy Bruette (Larry), Patsy Kautz (Jeff) and Randy Higgins; his grandchildren, Erica Fischer (Steven), Ashley Steenbock (Tyler), Cody Bruette (Brittany), Nicole Larsen (Beau), Christopher Higgins, Trevor Higgins and Connor Bruette (Taylor Junk); his great grandchildren, Nora, Teagan Fischer, Hudson and Jackson Steenbock; and his siblings, Shirley Wilke and Robert Higgins. He is also survived by his children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren.
