He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Hammelman and Ruth Hammelman (Frewert); his wife Gloria Haas; his daughters, Theresa Amundson (Steven) of Sheboygan and Greta Hammelman (GR Svenddal) of Minneapolis; his grandchildren, Nile Sky Hammelman, Mayan Briggs (Brett) and Moqui Joy; and his siblings, Letitia McGee of Marietta, GA, Ruthann Knox (Charles) of Omaha, NE and Richard Hammelman. He was also cherished by 4 great-grandchildren, many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
