He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Grunewald and Elenora Grunewald (Barts); his parents-in-law, Joseph and Anna Michels; his siblings, Viola Lemke (Arnold), Norman Grunewald (Virginia) and Milton Grunewald (Dorothy); and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Grunewald, Marcella Schaetzer, Robert Schaetzer and George Michels (Mary).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Michels; his sons, Lawrence Grunewald (Janet), DuWayne Grunewald (Tammy), Cleveland and Brian Grunewald; his grandchildren, Jeanette Grunewald, Jason Grunewald and Mitchell Althen; his great grandchild Cambren Grunewald; and his brother Martin Grunewald. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
