He was predeceased by: his parents, James Peter (Evelyn) and Helen Vercouteren (Honold); his son-in-law Danny Hubbard; and his grandson Nathaniel Austin Hubbard. He is survived by: his wife Karen L. Rigenhagen; his children, Ellen Oldenburg (Robert) of Manitowoc, Timothy James Vercouteren (Deborah) of Lynchburg, VA and Brett Vercouteren (Julie) of Gilberts, IL.; his grandchildren, Jean Garner-Steel (Barry), Danielle Chaplin, Matthew Hubbard, James Jefferson, Ian, Emma, Joshua, Rebecca and Katherine Vercouteren; his great grandchildren, Eleanor, Oliver, Alex, Ashley, Jacob and Lilah; and his sisters, Beth Vercouteren and Kay Malson (Jon). He is also survived by 3 nephews; other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sheboygan E-Free church, and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice organization.
