He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Baxton and Minnie "Evelyn" Baxton (Richards); and his brothers, Fred, Jim and Billy Baxton.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his siblings, Joyce Baxton-Krostag and Glen Baxton; and his half-siblings, Susan and Walter "Wally". He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
