He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Wathke and Irene Wathke (Goodremote); his wife Judith Wathke; his siblings, Steve Wathke and Sally Rassbach (Glenz); and his close friend Clarence Gunderson (Jack).

He is survived by: his children, Jodene Trochinski (Pete), Jamie Wathke and Lori Wathke (Jonathan Kadlec); his grandchildren, Justin Wathke, Sarah Thomas, Lynsey and Landon Mueller; and his great grandchildren, Sean and Ivy. He is also survived by many other friends and relatives.
