He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter F. Swoboda and Helen Swoboda (Langel); his close friend Janice "Chic" Ohms; his brother Thomas Swoboda; his former wife Elisea Swoboda; his nephews, Kevin Swoboda and Dennis Schindler, Jr.; and his niece Roxanne Schindler.
He is survived by: his daughter Jaclyn Yule (Matt Mickelson) of Eau Claire; his siblings, Cliff of Chippewa Falls, Tim Swoboda (Lisa) of Chippewa Falls, Jean Schindler (Dennis) of Colfax and Carol Woodbury of Rhinelander; and his granddaughters, Katherine of Eau Claire and Lillian Yule of Eau Claire. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
