He is survived by: his wife Gloria Bett; his children, Robert E. Jr. Niesen (Lori) of Champlin, MN, Jamie R. Niesen (Heather) of Eau Claire, Tricia J. Mathison (Erik) of Andover, MN and Joyell Ramharter (Wade) of Chippewa Falls; his sisters, Berniece Kreuser of Chippewa Falls, Bernadette Swartz of Chippewa Falls, Henrietta Leary (Patrick) of Chippewa Falls and Nancee Mancl of Bloomer; his grandchildren, Andrew Mathison (Maggie), Megan Mathison, Kate Siedow (Ian), Jake Niesen, Blake Nolan, Brice and Hannah Ramharter; his stepgrandchildren, Karl Wall, Katelyn, Emily and Jacob Culver; and his great grandchildren, Nikolas Mathison and Haliah Ramharter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred and appreciated.
