We are sad to announce that on May 3, 2022, at the age of 94, Marilyn Smith of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, born in Waterloo, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marilyn Smith to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Trace Glasener and Lucille Glasener (Whittle); her former husband Doug Smith; her husband Steve Playter; her brother Paul Glasener; her daughter Karen Root (James); and her grandson Ky Anderson.

She is survived by: her daughter Traci Anderson (Erik) of Chippewa Falls; her grandson Rees Anderson (Julie) of Chippewa Falls; her granddaughter-in-law Judy Anderson (Gerberding) of Eau Claire; her great grandchildren, Avory Marilyn, Anfin Gustaf Anderson and Lyla Sunday Anderson; and her stepchildren, Stephen Playter (Joyce) of Eau Claire, Ann Playter (Doug Hayes) of Denver, CO, Sue Mubark (Dave) of Tomah and Matt Playter (Angie Tobisch) of Chippewa Falls.

Memorials are preferred to the Heyde Center for the Arts, First Presbyterian Church, or Irvine Park.
