She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kurtz and Minnie Kurtz (Mickesh); her husband William Chovan; her children, David and Karen Norton; her daughter-in-law Peggy Chovan; her stepmother Mary Kurtz; her brothers, William Kurtz, Jr. and Clarence Kurtz; and her half-sister Marion Wohld.
She is survived by: her children, William Chovan, Jr. of Eau Claire and Suzanne Martin of Bloomer; her half-siblings, Dan Kurtz of California, Dennis Kurtz of Winona, Jim Kurtz of Texas, Lois Nyre of Chippewa Falls and Jean Dienhammer (Bernard) of Rockford; and her grandchildren, Adam Norton, Stacey Schweigert, Brad Chovan, Dana Kressin, Kelly Martin and Erin Schick. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
