He was predeceased by: his parents, Joyce Brunstad (Kelly) and Gustave Adolf Brunstad; his brothers, Glen, Dean and Robert; and his children, Tammy Pickerign, Laura King and John Brunstad.
He is survived by: his wife Fern I. Gessner of Chippewa Falls; his nephew Larry; his children, Jim Brunstad (Jeanette) of Chippewa Falls, Barb Newton (Ron) of Fairfax Virginia, Debi Prueher (Bob) of Wausau and Sandi Peterson (Henry) of Hillsboro; his children-in-law, Tom Pickerign of Eau Claire, Bret King of Chippewa Falls and Beth Vagle of Brainard, MN; and his grandchildren, Zach, Matt, Bethany, Cassie, Andy, Luke, Ali, James, Turner, Ben, Joyce, Chris, Emily, Joey, Rachel, Phil, Nick, Abbie and Becca. He is also survived by his 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity United Methodist Church.
