He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry E. Wheeler and Edna O. Wheeler (Cripe); his wife Marion Meddaugh; his son Wayne; his brothers, Allen and Leigh; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Wheeler and David Hempelman.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Scheidler (Richard) of Jim Falls, Sandra Gerber (John) of Chippewa Falls, Christine Sommerfeld (Michael) of Chippewa Falls, Victoria Jenson (Roger) of Chippewa Falls, Susan Carstens (Randy) of Rice Lake, Pamela Wheeler of Chippewa Falls, Larry Wheeler (Janice) of Cadott and Ronald Wheeler (Mary Jane) of Orange City, IA; his sister Gloria Hempelman; and his sister-in-law Beatrice Wheeler. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandsons.
