He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Bennesch and Ida Bennesch (Dachel); his wife Betty Lou; his stepson Dean Zwiefelhofer; and his brothers, Gerald and Marvin Bennesch.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Dale Zwiefelhofer (Patricia) of Bloomer, Dave Zwiefelhofer (Tamara Jo) of Bloomer, Mary Jo Blodgett of Chippewa Falls and Beth Swenby (Jeff Donaldson) of Chippewa Falls; and his siblings, Ronald Bennesch (Jeanne) of Chippewa Falls and Charlene Shane (Sam) of Colfax. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
