She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Thornton and Martha Thornton (Hub); her husband Robert M. Kopp; and her siblings, Elaine Petrich, Rita Frederickson, Beverly Thornton, Richard, John "Jack", Donald, Robert, Bernard, James and William Thornton.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Nybakken (Craig) of Eau Claire and Kevin Kopp (Sue) of Chippewa Falls; her brother Gerald Thornton of Chippewa Falls; her sister-in-law Mary Thornton of Chippewa Falls; her grandchildren, Briana Danielson (Dylan) and Jordyn Kopp; her stepgrandchildren, Jenni, Josh, Tracy and Brady; and her great grandchild Charlie. She is also survived by 6 step great grandchildren.
Kathleen's family prefers memorials to McDonell Area Catholic Schools in her name.
