He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Marie and John Henry Kahling Jr.; his sisters, Barbara, Judy and Pam; and his son-in-law Anthony.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene; his children, John Henry Kahling IV (Kelly) and Jennifer Kahling Czupek (Judd Adelman); and his grandchildren, Kahley, Jakob, John "Jay" Henry V and Chloe.
