She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Wise and Eline Wise (Thompson); and her sister Janice Isaacson. She is survived by: her husband Jeff Olmsted; her sons, Rick Flynn of Chippewa Falls and Brian Flynn (Leanne) of Chippewa Falls; her siblings-in-law, David Isaacson of Eau Claire, Judi Fermaich of Colorado, Janice Perdue of Indiana, Jolene Mackenzie of Green Bay, Jackie Lefbrve (Jim) of Green Bay, Joy Grey of Green Bay, Jay Olmsted of Missouri and Jerrold Olmsted (Sue) of Green Bay; her stepdaughter Felicia Dittmar Green Bay; her half-brother Bill Wise (Lucretia) of Texas; her stepsiblings, Jim Coolidge (Norma) and Ann Coolidge of Eau Claire; her niece Pamela Crandall (Mark) of Eau Claire; and her nephew Scott Isaacson (Angela Woods) of Eau Claire. She is also survived by many other great-nieces; great-nephews and many cousins.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joan's name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Chippewa Falls Humane Association or the Eau Claire Humane Association.
