He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Smiskey and Agnes Smiskey (Plemon); his former wife Ruth Campbell; his son Jerry Smiskey; his brother Gary Smiskey; and his sister-in-law Marsha Lee Smiskey.
He is survived by: his wife Jane; his children, Jeffrey A. (Kay) of Chippewa Falls and Joy Echavarria of Chippewa Falls; his stepdaughter Andrea "Punky" Jones of Jim Falls; his stepmother Eileen Smiskey of Eau Claire; his siblings, Bob Chandler of Colorado, David Smiskey (Linda) of Menomonie, Dan Smiskey (Roxi) of Chippewa Falls, Chuck Smiskey of Chippewa Falls, Mary Smiskey of Menomonie, Dianne Hoople (Dave) of Weyerhaeuser and Joy Howard (Mark) of New Auburn; his stepsiblings, David Kent of Eau Claire, Gary Kent (Marilyn) of Eau Claire, Betty Ann Hovey of Eau Claire, Janie Palchia (Steve) of Eau Claire, Susie Kent of Eau Claire and Donna Mae Meistad; his grandchildren, Christian and Moriah; and his stepgrandchildren, Chad, Shawn and Troy.
