He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas John and Eva Marie Charais (Dione); and his siblings, Robert "Bud" Charais, Mary Lou Kostka, Rita Lachowin, Celina Verdegan, Mildred Vanderloop and Theresa Vojtasek.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ann Stahnke (Church); his children, Anthony (Stacy) of Greenville, WI, Joseph (Erika) of Green Bay, John (Larissa) of Oconomowoc and Angela Guralski (Matthew) of Weston; and his siblings, Patrick Charais (Diane), John "Jack" Charais and Carol Sheeran. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and one and a half great grandchildren.
