He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Gunderson and Luverna Gunderson (Schroeder); his wife Jeanette Fouser; and his siblings, Nancy Gunderson and Chuck Gunderson.

He is survived by: his children, Vicky Beaudette (Frank) of Chippewa Falls, Judy Taylor (Jon) of Chippewa Falls, Jean Johnson (Mike) of Bloomer and John Gunderson (Naomi) of San Antonio, TX; his grandchildren, Jackie Johnson (Jake), Patrick Beaudette (Kristy), Amanda O'Donnell (Brad), Heidi Eliopoulos (George), Craig Taylor, Adam Taylor (Kendra), John Gunderson (Stacy), Emily Christensen (Chris), Leticia Bahr (Josh) and Tom Johnson (Tanya); and his sister-in-law Elaine Gunderson of Odebolt, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
