He was predeceased by: his parents, James Naiberg and Matilda Naiberg (Seidling); his former wife Eleanor Rasmussen; and his sister Joann Kuehni. He is survived by: his wife Janet Bowe; his daughters, Donna Berg (Dan) and Nancy Heller (Dan); his granddaughters, Brianna Bolle (Alex), Sara Heller and Sophie Heller; and his nephews, Roger, Allen and Randy Erickson.

The family prefers memorials to the Notre Dame Children's Fund, Feed My People or Hope Gospel Mission.
