He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Engel and Evelyn Engel (Peterson); his wife Beverly Hagstad; his brothers, Arley, Bert and Charles Engel; and his son-in-law David Peterson.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Engel, Kathy Peterson, Jeff Engel of Chippewa Falls, WI, Pam Arneson of West Salem, WI and David Engel of Birchwood, WI; his grandchildren, Minda Engel (Caroline), Andrea Druckrey (Tiege), Andrew Engel (Brianna), Matthew Engel (Alicia), Rob Schick (Amy), Dan Schick (Linda), Paul Schick (Kari), Mariah, Evan, Ashlyn Arneson and Devin Engel; his brother Richard Engel (Kathy); and his sister-in-law June Engel. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
