She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Oldenberg and Josephine Oldenberg (Hetke); her husband Herbert D. Bowe; her siblings, Lloyd Oldenberg and Eunice Sherrick; and her cousins, Beatrice Johnson and Ruth Hetke.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Nehring (Vicky) of Eau Claire, Thomas Steinmetz (Carla) of Chippewa Falls and Michael Steinmetz of New Auburn; her stepdaughter Debra Larson (Glen) of Chippewa Falls; her grandchildren, Travis Harnish, Garrett Larson, Krista Raleigh, Jake Steinmetz, Keri Jo Hodd, Melissa Carrell, Jennifer Meyer and Lori Cooper; and her siblings-in-law, Judith Lewis (Dick) of New Auburn and Dennis Sherrick of Bloomer. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Erma can be made to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Alzheimer's Association or to the Dove Rutledge Resident Council Activity Fund.
