It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Don Burghardt of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, born in Bloomer, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 14, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Aldro Burghardt and Anna Burghardt (Olson); his former wife Leona; his siblings, Clinton, Elmer, Vivian Koch, Phyllis Chrystal and Doris Burghardt; and his stepdaughter Rose Brook.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Twyla Wirth of Boyceville, Sheila Burghardt of Key West, FL and Don Jr. (Suzanne) of Fall Creek; his stepchildren, Susan Reavis (Gary) of Jasper, GA, Jennifer Morrone (Mo) of Racine, Stephen Brook of Sydney, MT and Michael Brook (Monica) of San Rafael, CA; and his sister-in-law Lois Burghardt of Merrillan, WI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research or the American Legion Post 77.
