She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlene Everson and Don Everson; her brother Colin Everson; and her sister-in-law Cindy Parks. She is survived by: her husband Greg Kaufmann; her children, Martin Kaufmann (Amy) and Kalista Kaufmann-Willi (Pete); her grandchildren, Grace Kaufmann and Wesley Kaufmann; her siblings, Carole Rybarczyk (Matt), Mark Everson and Donna Rutten (Rick); and her caregiver Diane. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, other family members and many, many dear friends.
Diane was honored with various awards and recognitions for her contributions to agriculture.
