He was predeceased by: his parents, Hjalmer Nordby and Ardis Nordby (Back); his grandsons, Allen Ray and Mason; and his brothers, Everett and Larry.

He is survived by: his daughters, Rhonda Nordby of Chippewa Falls and Bridget Nordby of Eau Claire; his grandchildren, Austin, Alyssa, Aliya, Briana, Jacob and Andrew; his brother Harlan Nordby (Sandy) of Chippewa Falls; and his nephew Larry Nordby (Kassie) of Chippewa Falls.
