She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert G. Short and Edith Short (Ritter); and her brothers, Chris and Gerald Short. She is survived by: her husband Jon Atkinson; her children, Matt Swoboda (Nicole) of Eau Claire, Ashley Marie Pilgrim of Chippewa Falls and Alyssa Rosemeyer (Trevor) of Thorp; her siblings, Steven (Debra) of Chippewa Falls, Dale (Leane) of Chippewa Falls, Mike (Cindy) of Chippewa Falls, Bob Short of Chippewa Falls, Thomas Short (Mary Ellen) of Eau Claire, Judith Nehring of Chippewa Falls and Marie Holstein of Eau Claire; and her grandson Fletcher Rosemeyer.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Central Lutheran Church (28 E Columbia St, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 8140 136th St, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.
The family prefers memorials to Ojibwa Golf Course (OJ) for trees in memory of Cindy.
