We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2025, at the age of 96, Corinne J. Hakes (Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Proulx and Rosalia Proulx; her siblings, Lorraine, Lucille, Norman and Leonard; her former husband Delmar Grill; and her daughter-in-law Cheryl Griļl.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Grill (Kathryn Nale), James Grill (Connie Lange) and Sandra Miller (Geno); her grandchildren, Brett Grill (Becky), Jessica Mertig (Jeff Mertig), Tara Miller (Brian Nurmala) and Jenna Nelson (Dave); her great grandchildren, Jayton Mertig, Tyler Grill, Jillian Mertig, Paige Grill, Ellie and Meredith Nurmala; and her sister Bernice Schueller.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church (412 S Main St, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Helped Clean the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Holy Ghost Parish or Irvine Park.
