In the vast expanse of eternity, Bernard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Bernard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harmen Zylstra and Wilma Zylstra (Hofstra); and his daughter Mary E. Zylstra. He is survived by: his wife Jean Zylstra (Cahoon); his children, Julia M. Griner (Tim) of Eau Claire, Mike W. Zylstra (Judy) of Villa Grove, IL, Dan C. Zylstra (Sandy) of Chippewa Falls and Andrew W. Zylstra (Amy) of Centuria, WI; and his sister Tena Wolterstorff. He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; along with many other family members, friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Landmark Christian Church (4140 126th St, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Mary E. Zylstra Scholarship Fund, through the Lincoln Seminary at Ozark Christian College.
