He was predeceased by: his parents, William Steinmetz and Anna Steinmetz (Gilardi); his wife Marian; his sisters, Carol Groves and Lucille Hansen; and his son-in-law Daniel Haverly.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis of Bloomington, MN, Richard of Chippewa Falls, Jeannie Haverly of Chippewa Falls and Cheryl Tannler (Steve) of Chippewa Falls; his grandchildren, Dana Keifer (Rob), Jess Haverly (Maylee), Chad Haverly (Nicole), Katelyn Steinmetz of Chippewa Falls and Jon O'Malley (Christina); his great grandchildren, Siena, Brooklyn Haverly and Talon O'Malley; and his sisters, Dorothy Christianson of Eau Claire and Marge Barringer of Eau Claire. He is also survived by his four children, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Chippewa Manor Nursing Home, Holy Ghost Church, St. Joseph's Hospital, or Feed My People Food Bank.
