He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Meissner and Elaine Meissner (Ott); his siblings, Melody Dovenbarger and Steven Meissner; his parents-in-law, Betty Dovenbarger and Bill Dovenbarger; and his nephews, Jeremy Meissner and Travis Dovenbarger.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Dovenbarger; his children, Josh Meissner (Sheri), Jennifer Schaefgen (Matt), Tiffany Halan (Daniel) and Ashley Welter (David); his grandchildren, Emmett, Jordana, Dawson, Trey, Molly, Drew, Lukas, Easton, Eric, Chase and Welter; his siblings, Sandy Garrand, Butch Meissner (Sharon) and David Meissner (Tammy); and his brothers-in-law, Vance Dovenbarger, Eric Dovenbarger (Cindy) and Kurt Dovenbarger. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made in Jerry's memory to two of his favorite causes - the National Farm Medicine Center at Marshfield Clinic and CureSearch for children's cancer research.
