John M. Kurschner Obituary

We bid farewell to John M. Kurschner of Chetek, Wisconsin, born in Prairie Farm, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 12, 2024 at the age of 80. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Kurschner and Clara Kurschner (Strand); and his wife Sandra Gail Fraley (Folstad). He is survived by: his son Scott Fraley (Kelcey); his grandsons, Hayden and Christian; his siblings, Claire (Joan) and Nelda Hale; and his close friends, Judy Folstad, Kari Folstad, Harold Lehman, Jim Adams and Ginny Schimmel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

They started Chetek Area We Care Ministries during the onset of COVID with concern for those in Meadowbrook, those living alone, and those without an adequate support system by giving them a weekly phone call and a weekly treat made by members of area churches along with a spiritual message.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Chetek Area We Care Ministries or the Northwest Wisconsin Synod LAY School.
