With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Ruth Fostvedt of Chetek, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 21, 2025 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Erwin Kreutz and Ruth Kreutz; her husband James Fostvedt; her close friend Doris Bayer; her former husbands, Sam Guzzardi and Marceau Colin; her brothers, Jack, Dan and Irv Kreutz; her sister-in-law MaryAnn Kreutz; her sons-in-law, William Langman and Jeffery Beimborn; her stepson Donald Colin; and her granddaughter-in-law Lianne Bailkey.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Langman of Chetek, Dawn Langman (Steven) of Chetek, Danielle Sanmai (Visuth) of Chetek and Jason Fostvedt (Stacie) of Cameron; her stepchildren, Richard Colin (Dorothy) of Caledonia, IL, Kim Fostvedt (Becky) of Altoona, Joe Fostvedt (Kay) of Chetek, Julie Zwernik of Chetek and Kathy Ziarnik (Dave) of Chetek; her grandchildren, Erin Eckwright (Robert) of Wells, MN, Jennifer Reese (Kevin) of Seymour, WI, Michelle Slack (Jamie) of Tilden, WI, Patrick Langman (Nicole) of Menomonie, WI, Joshua Bailkey of Chetek, Andrew Langman (Nicole Moen) of Chetek, Matthew Langman (Mandie) of Woodville, WI, Nathaniel Fostvedt of Cameron and Meghan (Tony Hopkins) of Eau Claire, WI; her great grandchildren, Robert Eckwright (AnnaMarie), Nicolas Eckwright (Kelsey), Elsie, Hattie Reese, Parker Slack, Nora, Ada Langman, Ash Bailkey, Hayleigh Langman, Carter, Cyleigh Cherney, Colin and Aspen Langman; her brothers, Charles Kreutz (Jan) of Florida and James Kreutz of Florida; and her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Kreutz, Jana Kreutz, Audrey Kreutz, Joanne Richardson and Jean Fostvedt. She is also survived by one great great grandchild on the way; 13 step-grandchildren, and 20 step-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Boniface Catholic Church (419 3rd St, Chetek, WI 54728). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
