He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Thompson and Myrtle Thompson; his grandfather Bill; and his siblings, Robert Thompson, James Thompson and Gertrude Taft.
He is survived by: his wife LaVerna Lundholm; his children, Mitchell Thompson (Diana), Steven Thompson, Julie Olson (Tony) and Richard Thompson (Paula); his brother Ken Thompson; his grandchildren, Adam Olson (Kelly), Brett Olson (Nicole), Daniel Thompson, Molly Thompson, Melissa Secraw (Jeff), Malery Thompson and Jake Thompson; his great grandchildren, Mason, Cy, Tris, Luke, Emma, Malia, Bennett, Arla, Kayla, Ryan and Chase; and also Myrtle Thompson (Great).
