He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Hastings and Delores Hastings (Steinke); his wife LaVonne Grosskopf; his daughter Kelly; and his siblings, Judith McClellan, Dan and Carl.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Hastings (Misti) of Viroqua, Jerilyn Futch (Julian Niemyjski) of Viroqua, Shawn Hastings (Gail) of Chaseburg and Lisa DeSimone (Dave); his son-in-law Scott Gaethke (Julie); his grandchildren, Amanda (Allen), Brooke (Brandon), Chase (Jillian), Jessica (Nate), Matthew, Jana (Coty), Allyson (Kody), Nicole (Brett) and Cassie (TJ); his great grandchildren, Braxton, Wyatt, Gage, Emmett, Ryker, Rose, Clara, Sophia, Alexander, Jazmin, William, Lincoln, Natalie, Octavia, Onyx, Trinity, Dezmon, Vayda and Evelyn; and his sister Margie Dennison. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Lower Coon Valley Lutheran Church.
